Flight App Backend

This is the backend service for the Flight App, developed using Kotlin and Spring Boot. It provides APIs for managing flights, users, transactions, and payments. The backend is deployed on Render.com, and the database is hosted on AlwaysData using MySQL.

Installation & Setup

Prerequisites

Ensure you have the following installed:

• Docker
• JDK
• Gradle

Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/Ziraddin/flightappbackend.git
cd flight-app-backend

Set Up Environment Variables

Create a .env file and configure your database connection:

DB_HOST=your-alwaysdata-host
DB_PORT=your-db-port
DB_NAME=your-db-name
DB_USER=your-db-username
DB_PASSWORD=your-db-password

Run with Docker

docker build -t flight-app-backend .
docker run -p 8080:8080 --env-file .env flight-app-backend

Run Without Docker

./gradlew bootRun

User Management

Deployment

The backend is deployed on Render.com, and the MySQL database is hosted on AlwaysData.

Render.com will automatically detect the push and redeploy the service.
