Describe the bug
For a while, everything works. swinging in the air works left click works and everything. but eventually, usually right after i die while holding left click to auto swing or randomly, it stops working. i cant swing anymore, cant damage anything, anything that has a better combat animation i cant left click anymore or swing or attack. this happens temporarily for long periods of time, or up until i fully close and restart the entire minecraft game. i also have a custom mod that i made myself, and ive created compatibility for my mod and better combat. so in doing so, when the glitch happened first, i tried debugging my own mod and adding various fixes to see if my mod was the problem. but it seems that it still happens, no matter what. ive tried so hard to fix my own mod, change controls, and even create my own fixes for better combat using your api and refreshers and restarters. and ive come to the conclusion that this version of better combat is bugged. the glitch is unavoidable and annoying.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
From what ive experienced
1: normally play for a bit.
2: die while holding left click aka auto swing
3: either the error usually happens or not. it randomly happens but very commonly so.
Expected behavior
Unability to swing in the air and attack with melee or anything that uses a better combat weapon preset.

In Video: i am fighting enemies in my modpack. i am seen auto swinging and holding left click to defeat them.
later, i die. when i respawn, i attempt to swing in the air. nothing happens, no animation, no swing, doesnt let me attack anything. i continue to try but to no avail i still cannot swing.
Additional context
When i have a shield in my off hand during the bug where i cant swing, if i hold the shield and better combat preset item or weapon in my hand, i also cant right click use my shield either. i can only use it when i change to a different item and hold something that has no preset and is just a normal item.
