MountX Official Documentation

Welcome to the MountX technical documentation and user manual.

MountX is an open-source Android root utility and systemless companion module designed to offload large game assets (such as Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail) from internal flash storage to external high-speed media via Linux kernel VFS bind-mounts.

⚑ Quick Start

  1. Download: Grab MountX-Magisk-v<version>.zip and MountX-v<version>.apk from GitHub Releases.
  2. Flash Module: Install the .zip module through Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch, then reboot your device.
  3. Install & Grant: Install the .apk and grant Superuser access when prompted.
  4. Offload Data: Open the Apps tab, tap your target game β†’ Kelola Penyimpanan, choose categories (e.g. Data Aplikasi / OBB), select target storage partition, and tap Pindahkan.

  • Root Environment: Magisk 24.0+, KernelSU 0.9.0+, or APatch 10.0+ (interfaced via libsu)
  • Android Version: Android 10 through Android 16 (API 29–36)
  • Supported Storage: MicroSD card, external USB-C SSD, or USB OTG flash drive
  • Recommended Filesystem: F2FS or Ext4 (provides native POSIX file permissions, symlinks, and flash storage longevity). exFAT and FAT32 are also supported with standard Android storage compatibility.
