Buzzctl 0.1.0
First release: use the timeBuzzer® USB device without vendor software.
Buzzctl.app (macOS 13+, Apple Silicon) — menu bar app with the mapping daemon built in:
- Maps wheel / button / touch sensor to keyboard shortcuts, media keys, and shell commands
- Per-app profiles (frontmost app) with LED color feedback
- Graphical config editor + plain-JSON config with hot-reload
- Pause toggle, launch-at-login, hot-plug support
Install: unzip, move Buzzctl.app to /Applications. The app is ad-hoc signed — on first launch, allow it via System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway", or run:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Buzzctl.app
Key actions additionally need a one-time Accessibility grant (the app prompts for it).
The repo also contains the buzzerd CLI (same engine, headless) and the full reverse-engineered MIDI protocol documentation.
