This v0.12.1-fork release contains source code changes only.

Features

  • Multi-instance support with --instance flag
  • Shared configuration with main WaveTerm installation
  • Version number displayed in window title
  • Removed redundant vertical sidebar
  • Inherited profile and startup settings from main install

Usage

Launch a separate instance from source:

npx electron dist/main/index.js --instance fork

Or use the desktop shortcut: WaveTermFork.bat

Changes

  • Config directory: Shared with main install (~/.config/waveterm)
  • Data directory: Instance-specific (waveterm-dev-{instance-id})
  • Window title shows version and instance ID: Wave 0.12.1 (Dev) [fork]

Technical Details

  • Removed vertical Widgets sidebar component
  • Added version import from package.json to window title
  • Modified config directory logic for multi-instance mode
  • Version bumped from 0.12.0 to 0.12.1

Development Assets

  • wavesrv.x64.exe - Wave Server binary for Windows x64 (backend only, not standalone app)
