rtfc statusline install, or /rtfc:statusline in a session, adds the rtfc status line to
Claude Code's settings, so you no longer edit ~/.claude/settings.json by hand to see 馃摠
when a message waits. It keeps the rest of the file and a copy of it, and if you already have
a status line it leaves it alone and tells you how to add rtfc's segment to it, or to use --replace. rtfc statusline uninstall takes it out again. rtfc init mentions it.
Your contacts are told when your address changes. Before, they only learned it the next
time one of you sent something, and if your old address no longer reached you they could
not send anything: they were told you were not home. Now the daemon tells each contact's
device itself, within half a minute if they are reachable, or as soon as they are. After
upgrading, it does this once for every contact.
Changed
rtfc hints add and remove adjust the detected addresses instead of freezing them. Adding
a host used to copy whatever was detected that day into hintHosts in config.json, so a
later DHCP lease left contacts dialling an address you no longer had. Added and removed
hosts now live in extraHintHosts and skipHintHosts, and the rest follows your machine.
If rtfc hints says your hints were set by hand and you did not mean that, rtfc hints auto
returns to detection. rtfc init --hint-host and a hand-written hintHosts still pin an
exact list.
Fixed
The daemon advertised the addresses it found when it started. An always-on daemon, or one a
long session kept running, went on advertising an old address after the network changed. It
now looks again every 30 seconds.
