3.0.0 Beta 2

Aagedal Photo Agent 3.0.0 Beta 2 is a public testing release for macOS 26 or later (build 741).

Changes since Beta 1:

• Local AI Description Assistant with reviewed grammar and wording proposals in Bokmål, Nynorsk and English; explicit Borealis and Gemma 3 model downloads.
• Batch transcription language selection and multilingual Whisper Turbo and Large v3 downloads.
• Pressing Transcribe starts the batch without an additional permission checkbox.
• Clearer Activity layout with a red circled cancellation button beside the active transcription.
• Correct disclosure chevrons for nested sidebar folders.
• Voice-memo media-key support, explicit Faces + Jerseys scans, and bundled-model/runtime and recovery improvements.

This beta shares the stable app's identity and data locations. Installing it replaces that app. Back up application data and test with copies of photos; older versions may not understand data written by 3.0.

Broader provider/model lifecycle, signed automation, accessibility, upgrade/downgrade, performance and hardware qualification remains open. The new Description Assistant and Whisper model downloads require further real-provider testing. This beta does not claim completion of stable 3.0 acceptance.

Report problems in GitHub Issues with the app build, macOS version, reproduction steps and expected/observed behavior.

Verification: the complete local suite passed (3,832 passed, two skips), including physical-GPU decoder and signed-helper checks. Restored clean CI passed on the exact application source, with three explicit hardware/manual skips. The distributed app and DMG are Developer ID signed and Apple notarized; the update enclosure is Sparkle signed.
