Shortcut Menu 0.5.1
Shortcut Menu 0.5.1
- Fixes the menu on phones like Motorola and Pixel, where an unspoken "Viewing full screen" dialog covered it the first time it opened with no screen reader on. In safe mode, this could leave you with no screen reader.
Shortcut Menu 0.5
Shortcut Menu 0.5
- Safe mode never leaves you without a screen reader unless you choose that. If it ends without one, by Close, by choosing a service that is not a screen reader, by the screen turning off, or by 30 seconds with nothing touched, it turns the screen reader it turned off back on.
- Before safe mode turns anything off, it checks that its own speech works. If not, the menu keeps the phone's speech.
- Safe mode says which screen reader it will turn back on.
Shortcut Menu 0.4
Shortcut Menu 0.4
- Safe mode: if your screen reader or your phone's speech stops working, press volume up three times quickly in the menu. Every screen reader turns off, and the menu speaks for itself with its own speech engine, SVOX Pico, so you can turn one back on.
- In safe mode, services are named in English, so that names in other alphabets can still be spoken.
Shortcut Menu 0.3
Shortcut Menu 0.3
- With a screen reader on, the menu's buttons fill the screen, with larger text.
- The menu follows the system's light or dark mode.
Shortcut Menu 0.2
Switching from one screen reader to another now turns the old one off first, and turns the new one on only once the old one has stopped. Before, the new one could start first and lose explore by touch when the old one let go of it.
