MazeRunner Release v1.0

Overview

Welcome to MazeRunner, the classic maze navigation game written entirely in x86 Assembly. In this release, the game is packaged as a maze.com executable file, which can be run directly in a DOS or DOS emulator (like DOSBox). The game allows you to navigate through a maze, avoid obstacles, and manage time constraints. With the included maze.com file, users can play the game without needing to compile it themselves.

Features in this Release

  • Precompiled Executable: The maze.com file is ready to play.
  • Game Functionality: Includes the full set of controls and features as described in the README.
  • Compatibility: The game is compatible with 16-bit DOS environments and DOS emulators like DOSBox.

How to Run

  1. Using DOSBox:

    • Download and install DOSBox if you haven't already.
    • Mount your directory containing maze.com in DOSBox.
    • Run the game by typing:
      maze.com

  2. Directly on DOS:

    • Copy the maze.com file to a DOS machine.
    • Run it directly from the command prompt.

Additional Notes

  • VGA Mode 13h is used for the game’s graphics (320x200, 256 colors).
  • The game runs on custom BIOS interrupts, including keyboard and timer interrupts, ensuring smooth gameplay.
  • If you encounter any issues or have suggestions, feel free to open an issue on the project repository.

Enjoy playing MazeRunner!
