Release 0.4.2

This is the same source tree as v0.4.1, but includes more builds for various architectures/operating systems.

v0.4.1

Choose a tag to compare

@abghim abghim released this 13 Mar 10:05

Release 0.4.1

Additional features include:

  • correct behavior when editing file contains real tabs (\t)
  • better column-switching logic on C-p and C-n (quality-of-life improvement)
  • crucial terminal dimension bugs fixed (#1).
  • other bug fixes

v0.3.1-alpha

Choose a tag to compare

@abghim abghim released this 13 Mar 09:59

Syntax highlighting

Syntax highlighting is here, at last. We use Sublime Text's syntax hl scheme.

Note

Alpha release – do not use without patience and ambition. Highlighting is brittle and somewhat slow (the editor remains workable, but the extreme snappiness of former releases is gone).

Note

Future releases of syntax hl features will NOT be merged into master. This is planned for a different editor in the future.

v0.2.1

@abghim abghim released this 10 Jan 14:17

Release 0.2.1

Whats-new

This new version includes:

  • Forward deletion with Ctrl-d
  • Line deletion with Ctrl-k
  • Bug fixes and stabilization efforts

Notes

This release is not labelled alpha or beta, but should still be considered unstable and early in development.
I am not able to sign MacOS binaries, please build from source. cargo install gee-editor will work across all Unix systems, and possibly Windows (not tested).

v0.1.0-alpha

@abghim abghim released this 22 Dec 11:41

Release 0.1.0

Yes! This is the first release of gee. Downloads & contributions are welcome, but USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. This is a shaky, unstable first build with NO guarantees as a production-ready editor.

Sadly, MacOS binaries are not signed.
