Enhancements

  • #281 - Save Grid, List, and Stacked layouts for individual feeds across web, Chrome, and Edge, with signed-in preferences shared across devices.
  • #281 - Build a personalized My feed Columns workspace with up to twelve independent feeds, personalized starters, drag-and-drop ordering, and per-column controls.

Performance Improvements

  • #280 - Keep admin article and source pipelines and Overview responsive with saved projections and reports, background refresh, and visible freshness and preparation states.
  • #281 - Reduce repeated preference reads and recommendation rebuild work while bounding parallel column requests and retained articles.
  • #284 - Unload inactive analysis threads promptly after requests finish while active analysis continues.

Bug Fixes

  • #282 - Import ICO publisher favicons into managed logos so valid icons no longer block source branding.
  • #283 - Regenerate published article thumbnails from a saved original when derivatives need updating.
  • #283 - Preserve reader scroll position when opening previews and navigating across web, Chrome, and Edge.
  • #285 - Load Trending articles correctly in Chrome and Edge, including the first page and subsequent pages.
  • #286 - Avoid unnecessary starter-column saves after manual column choices or intentional clearing of My feed have already been saved.
  • #284 - Preserve omitted tag fields when applying partial edits, while supporting empty aliases, disabled automatic matching, and explicit removal of a topic link.
  • #284 - Return complete errors for oversized or stalled uploads instead of resetting the connection before the browser receives the response.
  • #284 - Keep server traces exporting after telemetry dependency updates.

Upgrade Notes

  • Coordinate migration 0034 with backend replacement because 0.1.1 services reject the new schema. Allow for review-index creation to block writes to article_reviews; follow the read-model rollout guide.
  • Run separate pipeline and report publishers with reserved database connection capacity, configured through DEVFEED_READ_MODEL_DATABASE_URL. Complete the initial pipeline backfill and publish required reports before promoting admin readers, as described in the worker configuration.
  • Deploy the updated APIs and reader before distributing browser extensions 0.1.23, which use the new saved layout and Columns settings.
