Patch release adding reliable version metadata for source-distribution builds.

• Supports linker-injected release versions for Homebrew source builds.
• Preserves module-aware version reporting for go install.
• Adds boundary coverage that builds and executes the CLI with the release linker flag.

This release remains source-only; no unsigned prebuilt binaries are published.
