Installation

New Installation

Install via HACS:

Or manually copy the custom_components/aqara_advanced_lighting folder to your Home Assistant custom_components directory and restart.

Upgrade from v0.6.0

1. Update the integration through HACS
2. Restart Home Assistant
3. Clear your browser cache (important - see instructions in README)
   • Desktop: Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac)
   • Mobile: Settings → Apps → Home Assistant → Clear cache
4. If you see a version mismatch warning, perform a hard refresh or clear cache again

All existing presets and configurations are preserved during the update.

Migration Notes

From v0.6.0 to v0.6.1

• No migration required
• Existing presets work without changes
• New backup/restore feature is immediately available
• Clear browser cache to see styling improvements

Backup Your Presets
After updating, consider creating a backup of your custom presets using the new Export Presets button in the My Presets tab. This ensures you can restore them if needed.
