Release change notes
This update bugfixes the precache availability on PC windows mostly, and corrects some sprite behaviors.
Precache: Should now be available on older and newer gen1recomp versions, and not hitch as much when:
- Cutting trees or grass with HM01 cut
- Changing void fill or world fill option
- I have seen good compatibility with Switch, Android, and my own Windows PC testing on version < 0.1.98
- If you somehow have introduced restrictive file permissions, or a future patch does: Warning in precache ui.
Gen1 Mode: Kanto monsters have yellow sprites, Johto have static sprites, Hoenn have GBC demake sprites.
Gen1 Shiny: Kanto and Johto monsters have silver version shiny sprites, Hoenn now has shiny ruby/sapphire.
Gen2 Mode: Kanto and Johto monsters have crystal sprites, Hoenn monsters have GBC demake sprites again.
Gen2 Shiny: Kanto and Johto monsters have crystal shiny sprites, Hoenn mons have emerald animated shiny.
Front-static: Since many people have been using this empty and felt confused, this now matches gen 1 mode.
Goal: The objective of changing this is to make it more NOTICABLE when you run into shiny DV mons without:
- having to use a shiny mod to alert you with sound or sparks when it happens.
- having to use a shiny sprite mod for other regions, or be stuck in their modes.
- While also leaving the names of some sprites up to the modded suppliers of non-kanto pokemon encounters.
- This means that you can have the form sprites of Castform, Unown, and maybe even Deoxys if they support it.
While I don't think most users will encounter or want to use castform and unown, or find deoxys. Feel free to PR.
Fixes: I edited the transparency PNG pixels of ALOT of sprites today, to make it less visible if they had white gaps.
Note that the checksum of source & zip differs because I add the art via a script, and the art is not source tracked.
