Handle no internet connection state

The app doesn't really have functionality without internet connection so when the internet connection is out we should inform the user the app is unusable. When researching how other apps handle this there appears to be two methods:

• display whatever we can from the cache
• route the user to an error page where the user is unable to do anything all.

Still undecided on which method to take.

Choosing to route the user to an error page where they are unable to do anything would be easier to implement, but the cache method would give a much better user experience.
