Snapmaker-Ultra v2.3.6.4-ultra
First release with Windows installer, Linux AppImage and an unsigned macOS build alongside the Win64 portable zip.
Highlights
Assembly tools (new)
- Auto-Fit Assembly (right-click a multi-selection): mates parts automatically by matching faces, holes and pins, then merges them into one print-ready object.
- Assemble tool → Auto-fit: pick one feature on each part (flat face, circular rim, single triangle, or a curved patch), press Auto-fit, fine-tune with the live Rotate ±180° / Offset ±20 mm sliders, then Merge parts. Rotation is chosen by outline fit and a whole-mesh collision check so pegs seat square without intersecting.
- New assembly modes: Triangle and triangle, Curve and curve; Point and point now snaps to vertices at any zoom and has a one-click Coincide points.
Bambu Lab, including dual-nozzle (in progress)
- H2D / H2C / X2D AMS-aware filament→nozzle grouping from the connected printer's AMS layout, with flush optimisation and 3MF persistence.

The Windows build shows "Ultra version" on the splash screen so you can tell it apart from the official app. Ultra registers its own snapmaker-ultra:// URL scheme and leaves the official snapmaker-orca:// handler alone. (Linux/macOS builds in this release still show the standard splash.)

macOS: opening an unsigned build
This build is not notarized (no Apple Developer account yet), so macOS will refuse to open it the first time.
Either right-click the app → Open → Open, or remove the quarantine flag once:

The Windows packages include the connectivity plugin. The Linux and macOS builds from CI do not include it in this release.
Known limitations
- Curve-and-curve mates align at the patch centre (no full surface registration).
- Adjust sliders are not available in Point-and-point mode (use Coincide points).
- Physically validated on Snapmaker U1; Bambu printers are in progress.

- Sign in to your Bambu Lab account with email/password or Google / third‑party (OAuth) sign‑in.
- Your existing Bambu printers are discovered automatically after login.
Cloud printers
- Connect to cloud printers with live status and chamber light on/off.
- Camera: plays over your LAN for cloud printers that are also on your network (true off‑LAN/WAN camera is not available).
Fixes
- The bundled
go2rtccamera helper is now terminated when the app closes (no more leftover background processes), and only ever affects this app instance.

Highlights
- Bambu Lab LAN support — connect Bambu X1 / P1 / A1 printers over your local network: live status, camera, print send with AMS mapping, and controls (pause / resume / stop, chamber light, speed). Powered by a bundled clean-room network plugin — no Bambu account or cloud required. Put the printer in LAN Only Mode (or use a LAN-visible printer) and add it with its IP + access code.
- Nozzle flow type (Standard / High Flow) — now declared to Bambu printers and automatically matched to the installed nozzle, so sliced files no longer trip a nozzle-flow mismatch.
Fixes
- Eliminated a false "nozzle mismatch" warning that appeared on every print send (corrected the nozzle-type check and added parsing for the newer HX-series nozzle codes).
- Fixed a crash caused by the live Bambu camera during a print send — the camera no longer auto-starts on the Device tab; press Play to view it.
- Suppressed the spurious "Using a BambuSource from a different install" video warning.
- Removed the save / transfer / discard preset dialog when switching between Snapmaker U1 devices on the Device tab.

- Refreshed QIDI printer and filament profiles.

New in this release
- Outer wall filament — outer walls can print with their own filament, separate from inner walls (Strength > Extruders; "Default" follows the Walls filament). Follows per-object extruder assignments like the other per-feature filaments.
- Spool Manager — connect to a self-hosted Spoolman server: live spool inventory, bind spools to filament slots, and deduct sliced filament weight automatically when a job is sent (or manually per plate). Enable in Preferences > Ultra.
- Offset layers (experimental) — odd inner walls print raised by half a layer height so adjacent wall interfaces interlock vertically, for stronger inter-layer bonding (Strength; not compatible with Inner/Outer/Inner wall order).
- Merge into Single Part — select several parts of one object and merge them into one part, preserving paint/seam/support annotations and part type (port of OrcaSlicer#15413).
- Print unsupported walls last — wall loops floating entirely in mid-air wait for the walls/infill that anchor them (Quality > Overhangs; port of OrcaSlicer#15411).
- Undertop surface pattern — choose the pattern of the solid layer directly under a less-than-100%-density top surface (Strength; port of OrcaSlicer#15389).
- Per-filament Z offset — filament-level Z offset applied on top of the printer's (Filament > Advanced).
- Bottom-referenced Z — Move panel's Z can show the object's bottom height above the bed instead of the center (Preferences > Ultra).
- Drop-to-bed toggle — imported models can keep the Z position stored in the file (Preferences > Ultra).
- Machine prepare time — a printer-level warm-up allowance added to print time estimates.
- Import config from G-code — File > Import reads the settings block out of a sliced G-code file.
orcaslicer://links — "Open in Orca" buttons on Printables and similar sites now open models directly.- Silent exit — closing the app no longer prompts to save or discard modified presets; the project 3mf carries the live settings.
- Part visibility — eye column in the object list cycles Visible > Ghost (X-ray) > Hidden per object or per part, with right-click Visibility on any selection including multi-select.
Carried forward from v2.3.6-ultra
- Stream tab — multi-camera wall (up to 4x4) with aliases: Snapmaker U1 (incl. HD LAN), Moonraker, Bambu P1 (built-in relay), X1/H2 (via go2rtc).
- Ultra Preferences tab — Auto-Save every N seconds, Keep My Printer on project open, Skip Settings Mapping Warnings, Prefer Last Used Print Profile (remembers per layer height), Seamless System Filament Edits.
- Modeling tools — Manifold-based mesh booleans and OpenVDB Repair/Remesh (with automatic fallbacks), mesh-boolean part picker, Assemble Separately and Separate, plate/object align helpers in the Move panel, double-click part selection.
- Filament tools — Apply All for filament dropdowns, per-feature filament selection (walls / sparse / solid infill).
- Z overrides X/Y support option.
Fixes to upstream Snapmaker Orca / OrcaSlicer issues
- Crash when deleting a plate while a slice was in progress.
- Fuzzy skin no longer leaves random dots on outer walls in extrusion/combined mode (width floor used wrong units) or blobs near seams (missing point spacing across the loop closure).
- JSON config files with unquoted numbers or booleans no longer silently lose those settings — including inside per-filament lists (port of OrcaSlicer#15370, extended to arrays).

Custom fixes and feature ports on top of Snapmaker Orca 2.3.6.
Fixes
- Plate deletion no longer crashes when a background slice is running (use-after-free in BackgroundSlicingProcess)
- Sidebar combo events no longer silently corrupt the bed type or crash on long lists (bed-type handler guarded)
- Move panel alignment rows no longer overlap (Align right was hidden under Align front)
Features
- Stream tab (after Device): grid of live LAN camera streams with per-printer chips - add/remove printers, aliases, show/hide per stream, layouts from single view up to 4x4. Accepts a bare printer IP (Snapmaker U1 camera-streamer WebRTC, ~15 fps vs the ~1 fps Device-page snapshots) or any full stream URL (e.g. a go2rtc relay for Bambu cameras)
- Keep my printer when opening project files: 3MFs from other slicers no longer hijack the printer selection - the app remembers your last manually chosen (or last successfully sliced) printer and restores it silently, keeping the project's process/filament settings where compatible (Preferences > Presets, default on)
- Auto-Save project every N seconds in addition to Auto-Backup (Preferences, default off)
- Apply All filament row: set every filament slot to one preset in a single click
- Skip Settings Mapping Warnings (default on): silences the 3MF invalid-value and substitution popups; defaults/auto-fixes are applied silently
- Assemble Separately (right-click selected parts of an assembly): extract them into a new assembly without losing their position in space (port of Bambu Studio "Sub merge")
- Move panel align/distribute helpers (world coordinates): X/Y/Z align triples with Align Plate / Align Object / Align selected modes and distribute buttons (port from Bambu Studio)
