JevCompass 0.1.17 adds explicit local curation for an installed custom skill. Preview short generic metadata with jevcompass skills add, then approve only fields you are willing to send to OpenRouter during optional ranking. The skill body and path stay local. The README now shows a reproducible keyless first recommendation using the optional bundled skills.

Install: pipx install jevcompass==0.1.17, then jevcompass install --dry-run, jevcompass install, and jevcompass doctor. Review and trust hooks in Codex /hooks and start a fresh session.

Validation: 271 Python 3.11 tests, green hosted CI for PR #81, wheel/sdist content audit, isolated pipx wheel install and doctor. No measured speed/quality gain or current Desktop/macOS delivery is claimed.
