Grab the file for your system: the .dmg for Mac, the .exe for Windows, the .AppImage or .deb for Linux.

Opening it on a Mac

typeSirkel is a one-person open source project, and it isn't signed with a paid Apple Developer certificate yet. So the first time you open it, macOS says it "Not Opened" because Apple couldn't verify it. That's expected, and the full source code is right here if you want to check it.

  1. Open the .dmg and drag typeSirkel into Applications.
  2. Open typeSirkel. When the warning appears, click Done.
  3. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down to Security.
  4. Next to "typeSirkel was blocked to protect your Mac", click Open Anyway.
  5. Click Open Anyway again and confirm with Touch ID or your password.

You only do this once. After that it opens like any other app.

Opening it on Windows

If SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
