Changelog

  • Lightning API has been updated to rc3 which:
    • Only sets up developer-specific settings when Lightning's internal developer tools are installed.
    • The Entity CRUD test no longer tries to write to config entities via the JSON API because it is insecure and unsupported, at least for now.
  • Lightning Core has been updated to rc2 which:
    • Moves the Behat contexts used for testing into Lightning Core.
    • Renames the lightning.versions config object to lightning_core.versions.
  • Lightning Media has been updated to rc3 which only sets up developer-specific settings when Lightning's internal developer tools are installed.

Update Steps

Run drush updatedb && drush cache-rebuild, or visit update.php, to perform automatic database updates.

Known issues

Media

  • If you upload an image into an image field using the new image browser, you can set the image's alt text at upload time, but that text will not be replicated to the image field. This is due to a limitation of Entity Browser's API.
  • Some of the Lightning contributed media module listed above might not yet be compatible with the Core Media entity.
  • Using the bulk upload feature in environments with a load balancer might result in some images not being saved.

API

  • Users might have trouble interacting with certain configuration entities via the API.
