Release list
Omarchy Breakout v0.4.0
Bosses, extra power-ups, and a secret finale
The juice release was still a straight brick gauntlet. This one adds named machine bosses, five extra power-ups, and a hidden last fight.
- Three-ball multiball, piercing fireballs, sticky aiming, a one-save shield, and a magnet
- Named three-phase bosses on levels 6, 12, 18, and 24: unique chassis, LED visors, patrol, dodge, and slow aimed orbs
- Secret level 25: rainbow Apple-logo arena with a few raining capsules
- Stacked-power rendering stays smooth (no per-object blur, batched dense multiball)
Validated through 43 engine checks, audio/effects tests, the full 25-level campaign, and live Wayland play-throughs.
Omarchy Breakout v0.3.0
Tactile arcade juice
- Palette-matched brick fragments and impact sparks
- Tiny strong-hit freezes and subtle decaying screen shake
- Velocity stretch plus impact squash for the ball
- Four rising brick-break pitch tiers as combos grow
- Dense-multiball safeguards: no hit-freeze, batched balls, coalesced debris, and a 140-particle cap
Final-brick slow motion is intentionally excluded. Validated through 30 engine checks, 15 audio assets and routing, deterministic effects/render tests, the full 24-level campaign, QML/plugin checks, and a real Wayland play-through.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.8
What’s new
- 12 original retro sound cues for serves, collisions, bricks, power-ups, level transitions, hidden modes, and campaign outcomes
- Persistent sound toggle with F10 or the clickable footer control
- Prioritized, rate-limited impact cues for crisp multiball audio
Validated through 30 engine checks, audio asset/routing tests, the full 24-level campaign, QML/plugin checks, and a real Wayland keyboard play-through.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.7
Final symbolic-layout release.\n\nSupersedes v0.2.5's literal wordmarks with handcrafted visual motifs across all 24 boards, preserves the official Omarchy icon, and updates the marketplace preview to the clean Tokyo Night torii/moon opening.\n\nAll motif maps are structurally protected, the complete campaign and live keyboard integration pass, and every board was visually reviewed at game scale.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.6
Replaces v0.2.5's literal wordmarks with handcrafted symbolic pixel art across the full campaign.\n\nEach board now has its own visual idea: terminal prompt, Arch mark, Tokyo torii and moon, desk, runner, hill, radio tower, campfire, envelope, book, rails, live wire, turbocharger, spark, cargo ship, cable, coin, rework cycle, rising shapes, crossed-out calendar, team, factory, official Omarchy icon, and one person inside a framework.\n\nThe complete 24-board contact sheet was visually reviewed at game scale, and regression coverage now rejects wordmark layouts.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.5
Every campaign board now visibly references its complete level name with adaptive brick-built pixel lettering.\n\nShort, long, two-line, and three-line titles remain readable inside the playfield, while level 23 preserves the official Omarchy Quattro icon. The release adds structural name-to-layout coverage and was visually reviewed across all 24 levels.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.4
Level 23 now reproduces the official Omarchy Quattro icon as a dense 18-by-13 brick layout.\n\nThe silhouette is deterministically sampled from Basecamp's 54-by-26 icon.txt source, with exact structural regression coverage and live level-23 gameplay validation.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.3
Fix specific-level launches from a cold Omarchy Shell.\n\nUse the always-available shell target:\n\n omarchy-shell shell summon acrogenesis.breakout '{"level":3}'\n\nThe shorter breakout startLevel command remains available while the panel is already loaded.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.2
Add a specific-level launch command for fresh runs.\n\n omarchy-shell breakout startLevel 3\n\nValid levels are 1 through 24. Invalid values are rejected without changing the current game.
Omarchy Breakout v0.2.1
First public release of Omarchy Breakout: a native 24-level Breakout campaign for Omarchy Quattro with progressive difficulty, persistent high scores, themed easter eggs, and the 100-ball Konami mode.\n\nInstall with:\n\n omarchy plugin add https://github.com/acrogenesis/omarchy-breakout.git --enable
