Release list
v0.5.6
Summary
- A failed or timed-out OneDrive lock check no longer shows Another Laptop Took Over. The checkout stays on this laptop, and nothing is uploaded until the check succeeds.
- The takeover notice appears only when a downloaded lock is Active and belongs to a different machine.
- The startup lock-log line is removed. Healthy heartbeats are not logged.
CI will pack win-x64 / win-arm64, sign, and attach Velopack Setup assets to this release.
How to install
Check for Updates only works when no event is checked out. Otherwise download Setup from this release after CI finishes (win-x64 for most laptops, win-arm64 for Windows on ARM).
v0.5.5
Summary
- Lock diagnosis log for the false “another laptop took over” report. Written on every launch and on each lock check.
- Closing the app while a race is checked out now asks to Finish or to leave the checkout on this laptop. Windows shutdown is stopped until that choice is made.
CI will pack win-x64 / win-arm64, sign, and attach Velopack Setup assets to this release.
Lock log (send this file after the notice appears)
The log is per Windows user, not a shared folder:
C:\Users\<Windows account>\AppData\Roaming\S2FRaceDayCheckout\lock-trace.log
Paste this into File Explorer on the testing PC:
%AppData%\S2FRaceDayCheckout\lock-trace.log
The file is created the first time this version starts. It is not in the race folder and not on OneDrive.
How to install
Check for Updates only works when no event is checked out. Otherwise download Setup from this release after CI finishes (win-x64 for most laptops, win-arm64 for Windows on ARM).
v0.5.4
Summary
- Admin Move to Past Races: archive a flat race or whole Race Group from the live office into Past Races on OneDrive (no Desktop sync / website move required)
- Office refresh status no longer claims “no races” when the event list is already in sync
CI will pack win-x64 / win-arm64, sign, and attach Velopack Setup assets to this release.
v0.5.3
Summary
- On Windows on ARM (Parallels), Race Day installs the ARM64 Notepad++ build, including over an existing x64 copy
- Both official installers ship in every package, so an x64 app on ARM Windows can still install the matching editor
- x64 timing laptops keep the x64 Notepad++ build
CI will pack win-x64 / win-arm64, sign, and attach Velopack Setup assets to this release.
v0.5.2
Summary
- Heartbeat every 60s; soft takeover after 6 minutes without a fresh lock (was 18)
- Heartbeat / mid-race mirror / Finish refresh the cloud lock first — no upload if another laptop holds it
- Another Laptop Took Over dialog: Close Local Copy (safe) or Force Take Over… (Admin PIN)
- Force / soft takeover dialog Title Case copy cleanup
CI will pack win-x64 / win-arm64, sign, and attach Velopack Setup assets to this release.
v0.5.1
Summary
- Finish returns to Admin only when the race was checked out from Admin (not merely because PIN is unlocked)
- Main timer checkout Finish returns to the office/session list
- When Notepad++ is installed (or already present), RunScore External Editor is pinned and retained after Finish / app close
CI will pack win-x64 / win-arm64, sign, and attach Velopack Setup assets to this release.
v0.5.0
Summary
- Race Group Admin setup (year folder, add race to group, post-create Checkout / Add Another)
- Main Timing vs Announcer T&S roles; secondary
.eventselection for announcer laptops - Finish no longer blocked without a T&S
.event(soft Continue Edit / Finish; primary picker when files exist) - Edit Current Event: Launch Timing & Scoring + Save As Active path when no
.eventyet - Admin unlock retained after Finish (~8h); Done dialog trimmed
CI will pack win-x64 / win-arm64, sign, and attach Velopack Setup assets to this release.
v0.4.0
Summary
- Announcer checkout: assigned .event plus DB's only, no timing lock and no RUNSCORE download
- Admin assigns the Timing and Announcer files for a session
- RunScore external editor is Notepad++ at
C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe - Release setup installs Notepad++ there when that file is missing (one administrator prompt)
v0.3.13
Summary
- Cellular-first Graph sync: progressive office → events → session download (no full library crawl)
- Finish uploads only files that differ from Library (content/size), not everything touched by mtime
- Parallel Graph downloads/uploads with adaptive throttle and 429 backoff
- Mid-race autosave: Backup overlay only (not full Active →
_autosave) - Native RunScore prefs snapshot/restore around vendor launch
- New Event builder, Defender exclusion prompt, lock-only checkout heartbeat
v0.3.12
Summary
Code review cleanup: safer heal for RunScore mangled siblings beside Backup.
Changes
- Sibling recovery only matches known RunScore stems (
ENTRIES,Finish, status, …) immediately after the race folder name — avoids eating files from a longer similarly-prefixed event name - Regression tests for prefix collisions
- README note: Events/Logs on OneDrive are expected;
_autosavestays hidden
Install
Admin → Check for updates (Parallels → win-arm64).
