• Failed stream starts now self-recover: if a device start fails (e.g. rate-change churn at launch), the watchdog retries every 2 seconds — worst case is a moment of silence, never a dead session that needed a manual sample-rate toggle
• Smoother launch: the engine no longer pins devices to the stale saved rate before the adaptive logic has spoken — one clean rate decision instead of two rapid changes

Together with 1.42.009's adaptive engine rate this completes the multi-output story: locked Bluetooth rates are followed automatically, everything else is pinned to match, and failed starts heal themselves.

Note: when the rate regime changes, Bluetooth buffer latency shifts too — re-tune your bus delay once.
