MixDesk X 1.42.011
Back to the proven recipe. 🎼
We analyzed the battle-tested original (MixDeskEQ) and aligned MixDesk X with what actually works:
- Output devices keep their rates. No more forcing or following — a Bluetooth speaker locked to 44.1 kHz simply gets high-quality conversion, like the OS itself does. (The adaptive-rate experiment from 1.42.009 is retired.)
- Maximum resampler quality on every capture and playback stream (LPF order 8) — the low-order default was the actual source of the 48↔44.1 'sand' artifacts.
- Input devices are defensively pinned to the engine rate when they support it (webcam mics that idle at 16/44.1 kHz but can do 48).
- The footer sample-rate selector remains as a manual override — normally you never need it.
Combined with 1.42.010's self-healing stream starts, multi-output with mixed devices should now just work.
