MixDesk X 1.42.022 — Save As, robust preset loading & no-output buses
MixDesk X 1.42.022 — Save As, robust preset loading & "No output"
Save As & keyboard shortcuts
- New "SAVE AS…" button in the toolbar — always opens the file dialog, so
keeping multiple mixer setups (studio, show, streaming …) is one click. - Keyboard shortcuts:
Cmd/Ctrl+Ssaves to the current preset file,
Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+Sis Save As. (Shift-clicking SAVE still works too.)
Presets now survive missing and re-plugged devices
Previously, if one device from your preset was unplugged, the whole preset
silently failed to load. Now:
- Everything loads — channels and buses keep all their settings even when
their device is currently missing, and a toast tells you which one it is. - Automatic reconnect — the moment the device comes back, audio resumes
(within ~2 seconds), no clicks needed. - Re-plugged into a different port? macOS/Windows device IDs can change
with the port. Presets now also store the device name and re-match by it,
so moving a USB DAC to another port no longer "loses" it.
(Existing presets: re-select the device once and save — from then on it sticks.) - No silent fallback to the default output. A missing device shows as
"⚠ device missing" in the picker instead of visually falling back to the
default — which could route a bus straight into its own capture source and
build a feedback loop.
New: "(no output)" bus option
A bus can now deliberately run without an output device — useful for
processing/standby buses. No stream is opened, meters stay dark, and the
engine keeps everything tidy in the background.
All new UI texts are translated in all 9 languages.
Includes everything from 1.42.021 (the USB-DAC distortion fix on macOS).
