v1.1.0 — Video List items

Video List items — without touching vMix.

A vMix Video List is one input with one key, so its thumbnail only ever shows the item vMix has loaded. v1.1.0 gives you every item of the list. vMix reports each item's file path in its XML, and since the server runs on the vMix machine, it reads the files directly with ffmpeg / ffprobe. No SelectIndex, nothing loaded to Preview, so a running show is not affected.

New

• GET /key/{key}/items.json — every item with file name, path, selected flag and duration
• GET /key/{key}/item/{n}.jpg — thumbnail of item n, taken from the file itself
• Web UI: list inputs get an items ▾ link showing all entries with thumbnail and duration
• Used by Directors Plan for Video List item thumbnails and durations

Fixed

• First start: the web UI opened before the thumbnails were generated and stayed empty until a reload. The browser now opens after the startup run; if vMix is not running yet, the page refreshes itself and the server waits for vMix.
• ffmpeg / ffprobe are also found next to the .exe

Notes

• Needs ffmpeg including ffprobe (winget install ffmpeg, or both .exe files next to dp-thumbnail-server.exe)
• Works for files, not for streams or cameras inside a list
• Durations are file durations; in/out marks set in vMix are not applied

Installation

1. Download dp-thumbnail-server.zip below
2. Unzip to any folder on your vMix machine (replace the old .exe)
3. Double-click start.bat
