CodeCanopy v0.5.0 adds run-start, account-aware model resolution while keeping every executing tree deterministic and auditable.

Highlights

  • Resolves provider-released, account-available Codex and Claude model catalogs once at the beginning of a new run.
  • Freezes bounded provider snapshots and catalog hashes through execution and resume.
  • Maps weighted nodes to explicit lead, expert, reviewer, and worker tiers without silent missing-tier downgrade.
  • Binds each catalog-backed dispatch and proof receipt to an exact model/reasoning-effort pair.
  • Fails closed on malformed, incomplete, mismatched, or unavailable catalogs before dispatch or manifest creation.

Benchmark boundary

The deterministic routing fixture verifies policy behavior. Token delta, wall-clock delta, and acceptance-quality delta are not yet measured. The 18-arm, 9-pair benchmark is a schedule and measurement contract, not a published comparative outcome.

Safety fixes from release review

  • Reject incomplete in-memory provider catalogs with a stable fail-closed validation error.
  • Reject catalog-backed requests whose dispatched model/effort pair is not present in the frozen snapshot.
  • Recover safely from a verified empty private benchmark ledger while preserving link, permission, size, and malformed-evidence failures.
  • Validate the complete bounded graph before provider catalog discovery.

Known boundary

The marketplace package installs the CodeCanopy skill. The optional Python runtime commands still require a repository checkout; runtime packaging remains a future release gate. Repository maintainers cannot remotely force an installed plugin copy to update.
