RepoRipple 0.4.0 expands deterministic change-impact analysis from relative imports to modern TypeScript projects and JavaScript monorepos.

Highlights

  • TypeScript configuration support: resolves paths aliases, baseUrl imports, local extends chains, JSONC configuration, and TypeScript-compatible extension substitution.
  • Monorepo awareness: connects local npm and Yarn workspace packages declared through explicit paths, bounded recursive globs, brace alternatives and ranges, and exclusion patterns.
  • Package export resolution: follows package entry points, subpath exports, wildcard captures, conditional exports, and conservative condition fallbacks.
  • Modern module coverage: handles JavaScript and TypeScript source profiles, including .mts and .cts semantics.
  • Safer repository reads: rejects symbolic-link traversal and link swaps while reading source and resolver metadata.
  • Deterministic by design: all graph construction, impact tracing, and risk scoring remain local and rule-based; no LLM is required.

Install or upgrade

python -m pip install --upgrade reporipple==0.4.0

Run without installing:

uvx reporipple@0.4.0 . --base origin/main

GitHub Action:

- uses: adiarora06/RepoRipple@v0.4.0

Behavior note

Projects that use aliases or workspaces can now produce more dependency edges, wider blast radii, and higher deterministic risk levels because relationships that were previously invisible are now traced.

Verification

  • 193 tests passing
  • CI passing on Python 3.11, 3.12, and 3.13
  • Ruff passing
  • Wheel and source distribution built successfully
  • Strict package metadata validation passing
  • Clean-wheel CLI and version smoke tests passing
  • Independent release audit completed with no blockers
