Product features

Discover and assess opportunities

The Grants & Loans directory provides searchable, filterable programs across all active catalog languages, with twelve results per page. Discovery compares a selected company against a program and presents a scouting report with a fit score, positive signals, reviewer concerns, and recommended next steps.

Saved opportunities can become applications. Quick Build restores an existing application by its app_id, imports the configured default company when useful, and prepares the business and funding brief for report generation.

Generate Strategic Reports

Each application has one persisted Strategic Report. Administrators configure its enabled sections, document types, agents, roles, prompts, ordering, and reusable layouts in the Admin Console. Generation loads the application and company context, runs the configured LangGraph workflow, and stores the result and trace for later review or regeneration.

Reports include a three-year financial forecast with monthly revenue, expenses, net cash flow, trend charts, and annual summaries. The report preview, DOCX, and PDF outputs use the same structured cover-page and page-break treatment.

Configure the platform

Administrators can manage workspace modules, branding, landing-page copy and navigation, legal links, pricing catalog, notifications, data sources, AI model settings, payment configuration, and report layouts. Sensitive server settings are redacted from browser responses and stored securely by the API.

Work in multiple languages

The interface, report generation, and locale-sensitive currency/date formatting support English (Canada) (en-CA), French (Canada) (fr-CA), and Simplified Chinese (zh-CN). Funding records retain their own catalog language; English and Chinese catalog sources can be enabled and synchronized independently.

Third-party platforms

Platform Status How it is used
Google Sheets Supported Import link-readable or public sheets as CSV for funding programs, templates, social resources, and tools.
Airtable Supported Synchronize allowed base/table/view data through an administrator-controlled server-side proxy. Airtable personal access tokens stay server-side.
Google OAuth Supported when configured Google registration and sign-in. Requires a Google OAuth web client and exact callback URL.
Stripe Supported Hosted Checkout, customer billing portal, session lookup, and signed webhook handling. Secrets remain server-side.
SMTP Supported when configured Send account verification and password-reset emails. Development/Test Mode can use console delivery instead.
OpenAI-compatible AI providers Supported Strategic Report generation uses configured OpenAI-compatible model endpoints, subject to the server allowlist.
Ollama Supported (optional) Run a private local model using the optional Compose profile; the default is smollm2:135m.
Waffo Pancake Configuration only Test/live secret references and gateway selection can be stored in Admin. Live payment processing currently uses Stripe only.

Import field support

Funding imports recognize the following canonical columns:

Program Name, Type, Provider, Amount, Deadline, Match, URL, Location

Common alternatives such as Name, Agency, Maximum Amount, Closing Date, and Region are mapped automatically. Templates, Social Resources, and Tools accept Title, Description, Category, Status, URL, and Updated, with common aliases such as Summary, Format, Channel, Link, and Last Updated.

Not currently a public integration API

OpenBcon does not currently publish a stable partner API or webhooks for general external workflow automation. Those are planned roadmap items; use the Admin Console data-source integrations and built-in billing/authentication flows today.
