Subject: Re: [adminsyspro/proxcenter-ui] Bug: No "Date" information in the Line Chart of VM Summary (Discussion #474)
Thanks for the clear report and the screenshot, @Kenneat<https://github.com/Kenneat>.
You're right: on the 7d range (and also 30d / 1y) the chart axis and the tooltip only showed the time, never the date, so a point could not be tied to a day.
This is now fixed (#475<#475>). For any range wider than a day, the X-axis shows the date (DD/MM, or the month for 1y) and the tooltip shows the full date and time. The 1h and 24h views keep the time-only format. The fix covers all the summary line charts (VM, node, cluster, backups, storage), not just the one in your screenshot.
It will ship in the next release.

Thanks for the follow-up, @Kenneat. The top value on the chart was the "100%" axis label getting cut off to "00%": the Y-axis column was a little too narrow to fit the full label, so the leading "1" was clipped. I have widened it on all the percentage charts (CPU and memory across VM, node, cluster, storage, backups and PBS), so "100%" now shows in full. The fix is in #491 and will ship together with the date-axis change in the next release. One note: the screenshots in your last message did not come through, since images get stripped when replying by email. If you were pointing at something other than the clipped "100%" label, could you attach them directly on the discussion page so I can take a look? |

Attached please find the screen capture. Some values show with MB also not clear.

Thanks for attaching the screenshot, @Kenneat, that makes it clear. The "00%" you see at the top of the Memory Usage and CPU Usage charts is the "100%" axis label being clipped, which is exactly the fix in #491. One timing detail: v1.4.4 (released yesterday) contains the date-axis fix (#475), so your charts now show the date, but it does not yet contain the label-width fix (#491). #491 was merged just after v1.4.4 was tagged, so it will land in the next release. Once you update to that, "100%" will show in full on every percentage chart. About the I/O charts: "MB/s" and "KB/s" are the axis unit, and in your screenshot they are not truncated, they render in full. If you meant something else there (for example a value that looks off), could you circle it on the discussion page so I can take a look? Otherwise the next release should cover what you are seeing. I will let you know here as soon as that release is out. |
