What's New in v15.1 Beta

New iOS 27 Method (100%)

  • iOS 27 method: NOT tested on a real device yet

7 New Tinted Icon Themes

  • Tinted Green, Yellow, Blue, White, Gray, Brown, Cream
  • Each color has its own table (68 icons) + Add All button
  • 10 tables total: Light, Dark, Tinted + 7 new ones

WorkSlop Desktop v14.0

@adnan120hz adnan120hz released this 08 Oct 14:28

WorkSlop Desktop v14

WorkSlop Desktop v14 is here — a big stability and honesty release,
built on GoldenNugget (by awesomenull), itself based on Nugget by
leminlimez. Windows, macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon) and Linux builds
are attached to this release.

Do not use on ios 27 in this version!

Highlights

  • New UI — redesigned WorkSlop interface with a second classic
    Nugget-style UI, fast lazy pages and instant theme switching.
  • Custom Icons — iOS 18 Icon Pack (device-proven) — 51 apps with
    Light and Dark artwork by catwithabaloon, now shown as two
    side-by-side tables, each with its own Add All. Proven working on a
    real device on iOS 26.6.1.
  • Fake 5G status bar — labelled data-network indicator choices
    (5G / 5G+ / 5G UW / 5G UC, plus the classic types) written through
    the proven status bar override file. New in this build; visual
    effect not yet confirmed on a device.
  • Status bar fixes — the Full Nugget page now correctly shows the
    active state again.

Liquid Glass

  • Partial restore covers all iOS 26 versions; iOS 27 uses the
    protective Full Backup route.
  • S8 — Disable Liquid Glass (full) is included in this build,
    but it does not work. The developer tested it on his own
    iPhone (iOS 26.6.1) after this release: Liquid Glass stayed fully
    active. Development of S8 is abandoned — the author has given up
    on this feature. The option remains in the app unchanged; do
    not rely on it.
  • Eight legacy FeatureFlags tweaks were relabelled honestly: they
    write FeatureFlags files only, and no on-screen effect is promised.

Fixes in this build (100-point audit)

  • Protective Backup no longer claims success when the disk runs full;
    restores can no longer be sent to the wrong connected iPhone.
  • Aborting an apply no longer shows "Apply complete!".
  • iOS 27 Phase 2 failures are reported honestly instead of
    "completed successfully".
  • The CLI now honours the same HotLoad kill-switch as the GUI.
  • Voice Control can no longer be disabled anywhere (bootloop guard).
  • Passcode disconnects can no longer be reported as success.
  • DisableOTAFile no longer vanishes from presets.
  • One corrupt .batter template no longer kills a whole apply.
  • Crash reports redact your UDID and file paths.
  • Settings device status refreshes live; menu switching is much
    faster (Settings re-open ~206 ms → ~25 ms).
  • The AGPL-3.0 LICENSE is now bundled with the app and shown in About.

Requirements & safety

  • Windows 10/11, macOS, or Linux; USB connection; tap Trust on
    the iPhone; Apple Devices installed on Windows if the phone is not
    detected.
  • Turn off Find My before Apply/Reset.
  • Back up your iPhone first. Restart manually after applying.
  • Partial restore: iOS 26.x. Full Backup route: iOS 27.

  • The Clean Light interface.
  • Supports iOS 16.0 to 27.0.1.
  • iOS 27 support included (dedicated iOS 27 tweaks and the 3-phase backup → sparse restore → restore flow); iOS 26 uses the partial-restore method.
  • Liquid Glass tweaks, iOS 18 Icon Themes, Status Bar, Apple Internal options, Daemons, PosterBoard and more — 96 tweak specs in the registry.

WorkSlop Desktop v11.5

@adnan120hz adnan120hz released this 03 Oct 11:58

WorkSlop Desktop v11.5

Small focused fix release — no tweak changes in this release.

  • Beta warning fixed: the developer-beta warning shown when a beta iOS device is connected now names the detected iOS major version (a device on iOS 27 beta no longer reads "iOS 26 beta").
  • No more app close on Linux/Wayland: the warning is now shown non-modally, once per app session per device. Dismissing it can no longer terminate the app on Wayland compositors, and the warning no longer sits in the middle of the device-switch flow, so tweak menus stay reachable.

Users on 11.0.1 will be offered this update in the app.

WorkSlop Desktop v11.0.1

@adnan120hz adnan120hz released this 03 Oct 07:48

WorkSlop Desktop v11.0.1

Small focused update — no tweak changes in this release.

  • Backup location, picked by you: the fixed "Backup Location" block is gone from the Backup page. When a Full Backup or a Protective Backup starts, you choose the folder yourself in the system file picker. The folder is created if it does not exist yet, your choice is remembered for next time, and the automatic protective backup before an apply uses the same folder.
  • Backup progress: the Backup page now shows live progress at the bottom (current step / percent and a progress bar) while a backup or restore runs.
  • Interface polish: the Themes page and the Apply page colors now blend with the Nugget interface (third interface), and the Apply progress section is shown in every interface.

Users on 11.0 will be offered this update in the app.

@adnan120hz adnan120hz released this 03 Oct 01:52

WorkSlop Desktop v11.0

Liquid Glass: back to the exact v4 implementation

The Liquid Glass section once again uses the WorkSlop v4 implementation, restored exactly (same keys, domains/paths, values, delivery and reset behaviour — verified line-for-line against v4). One honest caveat: a clean, full disable of Liquid Glass is still not proven on a real device. The v4 behaviour is what users asked to have back; it is not a proven full-disable.

New in this section: Blurr Motion, built from a key found in the local iOS 26.6.1 (23G83) binary next to the Liquid Glass material providers. It is structurally verified in the binary but has not been device-tested yet — try it and judge the result on your screen.

Animation Speed Coefficient works (verified on device) and its code is unchanged in this release.

Research tweaks are now normal tweaks

Every tweak that passed the structure audit (key / domain / value / delivery all correct) can now be switched on like any other tweak — no more lock just for being unverified. If a tweak cannot be turned on, it can never be tested, so the locks, badges and confirmation dialogs are gone. Tweaks that are structurally dead (wrong domain, wrong value type, dead delivery channel, or duplicates of stock Settings switches) stay removed — 29 of them; they were not revived as fake toggles.

MobileGestalt stays locked on iOS 26.2 beta 2 and newer builds (23C5035e+); the last supported build is 26.2 beta 1 (23C5027f).

Two interfaces, you pick

  • WorkSlop (main UI): the v4 interface is back as the primary shell.
  • Nugget (second UI): the classic desktop layout, with its icons swapped to the WorkSlop icon set.

You choose on first launch, and can switch any time in Settings → Appearance.

Notes

  • The app shows version 11.0.
  • Back up your device before applying tweaks, turn Low Power Mode off while testing visual tweaks, and reboot after applying (glass preferences are cached at app launch, so a restart is part of an honest test).

Update (2026-10-03)

The interface restoration is now complete on every page: Home, Tweaks and its sections, Backup/Apply, Settings and the PosterBoard host are the genuine WorkSlop v4 pages — the previous v11.0 build only restored the shell frame around newer pages. The Nugget UI option is verified present and switchable in both directions from a fresh start. This build also carries the audited fixes: the Windows event-loop policy that pymobiledevice3 requires, a cross-platform app-restart helper, and Apply Journal records for MobileGestalt applies started from their own page.

Final build: the Full Nugget interface now uses the original Nugget dark palette on every page (Daemons, PosterBoard, Settings included), the interface picker is renamed to WorkSlop (Main) / WorkSlop 2 / Nugget, and the window title bar follows the active interface.

WorkSlop Desktop v10.0

@adnan120hz adnan120hz released this 02 Oct 13:48

WorkSlop Desktop v10.0

Status notes (honest, fact-based):

  • App version: 10.0.
  • Liquid Glass full-disable is not yet proven on a real device (proven candidates: 0). One isolated forensic candidate — SolariumForceFallback — is research-only and locked in the backend on iOS 26.6.1 until real device-test evidence exists.
  • 14 tweak candidates passed the structural audit, but have not been tested on a real iPhone yet. Do not treat this list as a guarantee of on-device results.
  • 5-layer audit (key / domain-path / value-type / reader / delivery) plus a pre-publication re-audit: complete, including 1 reset regression that was found and fixed before this release.

Highlights:

  • MobileGestalt fail-closed gating: unknown builds are locked consistently in Home, Tweaks, presets, and the backend.
  • Reset no longer writes zero-byte files on iOS 26.x (avoids SpringBoard crash/bootloop risk).
  • New feature: Status Bar "Full Signal Bars (No SIM Visual)" — purely visual.
  • Apply Journal: every apply/reset is recorded in the backend log.
  • Update checker points to the WorkSlop Desktop repository itself.
  • New modern UI (layout reference credit in About: "UI reference: 3uTools"); the phone frame adapts to the detected device; fluid corner radii throughout.

Recommended test protocol: full backup first, Low Power Mode OFF, one candidate per apply, restart the app or reboot after applying, and never reset the SpringBoard page on iOS 26.6.1.

Fix update (same version 10.0): the three audited Liquid Glass candidates (SolariumForceFallback, SBDisallowGlassTime, SBDisableGlassDock) are now device-testable from the Tweaks page with an UNPROVEN badge and a one-time confirmation (full backup first, Low Power Mode OFF, one candidate per apply, never reset the SpringBoard page); this build also fixes the update-check crash, makes F11 fullscreen work on Windows, shows the Apple brand logo on Home, and reports MobileGestalt as Locked on iOS 26.6.1.

Fix update 2 (same version 10.0): device detection is now fast and honest — basic device info appears within seconds, details load in the background, and failures explain the cause (USB cable, Trust prompt, or the Apple Mobile Device Service on Windows) instead of showing "No Device" forever; Refresh performs a real re-enumeration with visible progress. Restores can no longer hang silently near the end (the former 84% freeze): an inactivity watchdog with a heartbeat status makes a stalled restore retry or reconnect instead of waiting forever, and wait/resume loops are capped. Every research-only tweak from the audit can now be device-tested (UNPROVEN badge, one-time backup confirmation, recorded in the Apply Journal); removed tweaks and MobileGestalt on locked builds stay locked. One shared support decision now gates Home, Tweaks, Risky, presets, and the backend identically (including Custom Resolution). New tweak: Disable Thermal (Internal). Home gets the glossy white Apple logo on the deep-blue panel, a tidier per-section tweak catalogue, correct scrolling at small window sizes, and no support status rows before a device is detected. The App Language option is removed — the app is English-only. The update checker compares versions robustly, so version 10.0 no longer reports a newer release when none exists.

PosterBoard update (same version 10.0): PosterBoard delivery is rebuilt on the Nugget v7.4 architecture (descriptors-first). Wallpapers are now delivered as plain descriptor files that PosterBoard loads itself — no database is fetched, modified, or shipped in the default mode, so a broken wallpaper is recovered by removing or resetting descriptors instead of restoring a database. The database-backed Configurations mode remains as an opt-in on the PosterBoard page. PosterBoard on iOS 26.6.1 is still unproven on a real device; test one wallpaper at a time after a full backup.

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@adnan120hz adnan120hz released this 01 Oct 02:27

WorkSlop Desktop v3.4 — Public Stable Version

The first stable release of the v3.4 line.

Binaries built from commit 2ed167d (v3.4 code); release tag points to latest main which adds README/docs updates only.

What's new

  • Removed the Sideload menu — the Sideloadly-style flow proved too difficult to make reliable, so it is gone from the UI.
  • App Data is read-only again — browse installed apps via an iMazing-style targeted per-app backup (AppDomain-<bundle_id>), no write path.
  • Tweaks menu: honest support gating — features unsupported on the detected iOS now show as locked (not toggleable); supported ones stay open. Feature Flags are capped at iOS 26.1.
  • New Liquid Glass menu on Home — quick access to the Liquid Glass (Solarium) tweaks.
  • Renamed Liquid Glass combo tweaks with iOS 26.6.1 guidance: new method (not yet tested on a real device) — Force Solarium Fallback to bring back the iOS 18-style UI on iOS 26.6.1.

Docs updates (in this tag)

  • WorkSlop flask icon in the README.
  • Fork intro rewritten: extra features + iOS support, not just backup.
  • Backup section expanded: Full Backup, protective backup, Restore Backup + data-safety details.

Honest note

Device effectiveness on real iPhones remains unverified — please test on your own device and report back.

WorkSlop Desktop v3.5-dev

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@adnan120hz adnan120hz released this 01 Oct 06:10

WorkSlop Desktop v3.5-dev (pre-release)

Experimental Liquid Glass build — binary-research findings implemented. Effectiveness on real iPhones is UNVERIFIED.

New Liquid Glass experiments

  • Fail Solarium Hardware Check (system-wide experiment): the only disable-direction Solarium key confirmed present in the iOS 26.6.1 binary. Forces the hardware check to fail → fallback/frosted path.
  • Fail Solarium HW Check — per-app experiments (Messages, Safari, Settings, Mail, Photos, Camera, Phone): same key delivered to each app's own preferences. Test one at a time.
  • Tinted Glass (official iOS setting): the real Clear/Tinted glass setting from iOS 26.1+ (Settings > Display & Brightness > Liquid Glass).
  • Increase Contrast (official mitigation): Accessibility setting; with Reduce Transparency, Liquid Glass is reported as 'almost completely gone'.

Honesty fixes

  • 'Disable Liquid Glass' is now correctly gated to iOS 26.0–26.0.1 only (Apple removed its reader in iOS 26.1).
  • Fixed 7 tweaks wrongly locked to iOS 27 → opened to their real iOS 26.x ranges.
  • Dead iPad floating-tab-bar tweak disabled; provenance caveats added where keys come from community tools only.

Built from commit 326a245 via GitHub Actions.
