Scrolling on Mac is very slow and stuttery #8249

Hi,

Trying out a few new code editors as I'm finding Coda 2 has got a bit stale. Loving Brackets so far :)

One thing i'm finding a bit annoying is that the scrolling seems very stuttery and completely non-smooth. While I completely appreciate that Brackets is still in Alpha/Beta, I think scrolling performance of an editor should be good so you can move around code quickly. I have no experience of OS X development, but it seems to me that Brackets doesn't use native OS X scrolling APIs like rubber-banding (when you hit the top of the window and it carries on a little) and the momentum-scrolling that works a little like iOS. Try using Coda or Sublime and then compare with Brackets (preferably with a big file), to hopefully see what I mean.

Btw: I'm using one of Apple's Magic Trackpads. Not sure what it's like to use a Magic Mouse/normal mouse.

Thanks,

Tom Oakley
