Assertions.Web 3.0.0
3.0 consolidates the shared configuration and the Newtonsoft.Json serializer into
flavour-agnostic packages and adds a first-class Shouldly flavour. The assertion
APIs and failure output are unchanged — the breaking changes are package/type renames.
Breaking changes (3.0)
- Config holder:
FluentAssertionsWebConfig/AwesomeAssertionsWebConfig→AssertionsWebConfig. - Serializer package:
FluentAssertions.Web.Serializers.NewtonsoftJson/AwesomeAssertions.Web.Serializers.NewtonsoftJson→Assertions.Web.Serializers.NewtonsoftJson. AssertionsWebConfig,ISerializer,DeserializationException,SystemTextJsonSerializerConfigand the Newtonsoft types now live in theAssertions.Webnamespace.FluentAssertions.Web,FluentAssertions.Web.v8andAwesomeAssertions.Webgo to 3.0.0; no compatibility shims.
FluentAssertions.Web 3.0.0

Should(),Be200Ok,BeAs,Satisfy,Match, headers, deserializers) are unchanged.
FluentAssertions.Web.v8 3.0.0
- FluentAssertions v8 line, same consolidation as above.
- Breaking: same config-holder, serializer-package and namespace renames.
AwesomeAssertions.Web 3.0.0
- Same consolidation as FluentAssertions.Web.
- Breaking:

AssertionsWebConfig.Serializer = new NewtonsoftJsonSerializer();withNewtonsoftJsonSerializerConfig.Options. - Breaking: replaces the two flavour-specific serializer packages; types moved to
Assertions.Web.
Shouldly.Web 1.0.0-preview.2 (prerelease)
- New Shouldly v5 flavour: status-code, content, satisfy, headers, location and bad-request assertions in native Shouldly style (
customMessage+[CallerArgumentExpression]). ShouldSatisfyoverloads report every failing assertion.- Stays
1.0.0-preview.xuntil Shouldly 5.0.0 is stable.
HttpMessageFormatter 2.0.6
- Patch, no public API change: readme refreshed (it is the shared renderer behind every flavour) and an internal link updated after the repository rename.
