Release list
ProxyPulse 1.0.0
Define an animation once on the proxy. Use it from every server on the network.
ProxyPulse intercepts the text your backend servers send and fills in placeholders before it reaches the player. A backend writes %animation:logo%; the proxy replaces it with the current frame and keeps re-sending it as the animation moves. The animation itself lives in one file, on the proxy.
In this release
- Animations in the same
animations.ymlformat the TAB plugin uses, usable from any backend through%animation:name%. - Applied everywhere text appears: tab list header, footer and player names, scoreboard titles, team prefixes and suffixes, boss bars, titles, subtitles and the action bar.
- Never in chat. Chat packets are explicitly refused, with tests across every supported protocol version that fail if that ever stops being true.
- Network placeholders the backends cannot answer themselves: network and per-server player counts, real ping, client version and brand, server aliases, uptime.
- An optional global tab list showing everyone on the network and the server they are on, with per-server exceptions. Off by default.
/proxypulsewith a hot reload, pluspreviewto render a line exactly as a backend's text would be rendered.
Requirements
Velocity 4.x and Java 25+. Nothing needs installing on the backends, and every dependency is inside the jar — drop it in plugins/ and start the proxy.
Notes
Animations work on clients from 1.8. The global tab list needs 1.19.3+ and sorts rows on 1.21.2+. Scoreboard rewriting covers 1.20.2 and newer; older clients keep their server's scoreboard untouched.
Verified against a real Velocity 4.0.0 proxy: the plugin loads, writes its configuration, registers its command and reloads cleanly. 43 tests cover the animation engine, the placeholder engine, the scoreboard codec and the packet rewriting path.
