Omelette v3.0.2 🍳
Claude
- Cloud session credits (claude.ai's prepaid pool for cloud sessions) now show as dollars with their expiry: "$231 / $250" in the Claude tab and the menu-bar tooltip, "$231 used of $250" in
omelette statusandget_usage. They no longer drive the menu-bar percentage, the tiles, the widget, the dashboard, the floating window, Settings or alerts: those answer from your plan's windows again. - A funded credit pool Omelette does not know by name shows as "Included credits", never as an internal codename.
Dashboard
- The Overview legend lists Extra usage credits and each credit pool as dollar rows after the usage windows, each with its own dot.
Requires macOS 26. Users on macOS 14–15 stay on 2.7.1.
Omelette v3.0.1 🍳
Command line
omelette statuslineshows how long the session's prompt cache stays warm, cache 47m, right after the model and context bar: dim yellow in its last minute (last five on a 1-hour cache),cache coldin dim red once the next turn will write it again. Needs Claude Code 2.1.251 or later. If the timer does not appear in a running session, switch the status line off and on again in Settings → Integrations → Claude Code.
Omelette v3.0.0 🍳
Requirements
- Omelette 3.0 requires macOS 26. The interface is native Liquid Glass with no fallback; 2.7.1 stays available to macOS 14–15 through the update feed.
Popover
- Redesigned on glass: provider tiles, a cost tile for local spend, the agents group, and a footer with Dashboard, the floating window, Settings and Quit. The refresh button and the version link are gone (⌘R still refreshes; Settings → General has the version and the update check).
- An Antigravity that is not running reads "Last known HH:mm" instead of a reset countdown.
- Provider tabs cross-fade with a slight slide; off under Reduce Motion.
- The header's second line says "Just updated", as the dashboard does.
Dashboard
- A floating glass sidebar with four tabs: Overview, Agents, History, Insights. The Activity tab is gone; its calendar lives in History → Calendar.
- The window's title bar is hidden and the traffic lights sit inside the sidebar.
- "Updated 7s ago" with a status dot replaces the sidebar footnote.
- Every control lights up under the pointer; focus rings show only while navigating with the keyboard.
- Tabs cross-fade; off under Reduce Motion.
Overview
- Concentric rings per provider window; hovering or focusing a legend row magnifies its ring and shows its figure in the centre.
- The CLI card links to History and keeps today's spend by model (up to five rows); "Tokens by day" opens History on its chart.
- Tokens today: tokens against cost per category, with thinking called out.
- The provider's logo sits beside the title.
Agents
- The tab is Sessions plus the Live card, full width, with a link to History → Sessions. The run history list and Busiest project are gone.
History
- One controls row: provider, Chart or Calendar, range up to 1 year.
- Chart bars carry tooltips; the per-day tables (Cost, Tokens, quota peaks) are gone.
- Chats expand in place to show sub-agents and what each model cost.
- Quota-only providers (Antigravity) get a line chart of their windows.
- Token counts from a billion read "2.5B".
Insights
- "Days at limit, 7 days" for every provider; the model split is scoped to today.
- Snapshots recorded, observed peak, Top project this week and the 30-day project list are gone.
Settings
- A sidebar window with six tabs: General, Menu bar, Providers, Notifications, Integrations, Advanced. Every row maps onto an existing setting; Force refresh and Quit are gone (the popover has Quit). Old deep links still open the right tab.
- Providers: one row per provider with its source, status and switch, and "Forget last known" inline.
- The global shortcut that opened the popover is gone; the menu-bar icon and ⌘, in the popover remain.
Providers
- The Gemini CLI provider is removed. Antigravity's Gemini windows are unaffected. Gemini CLI history already on disk stays and is not shown. A widget that was set to Gemini needs to be edited to another provider.
Command line and MCP
get_sessionsprints token counts from a billion as "2.5B", as the dashboard does;omelette status --jsonkeeps raw integers.- The MCP server's instructions and tool descriptions say where the answers come from: the app's last snapshot, its age, what happens when there is none, and which dollars are API-list-price equivalents.
Omelette v2.7.1 🍳
Time zones
- History: a chat's days follow a system time-zone change while the app runs, and agree with Activity after a relaunch in another zone (#13).
- The Claude cost cache from 2.6.5 or 2.7.0 is converted in place on the first launch: nothing is read again, and days and chats whose transcripts Claude Code has deleted keep their totals.
Updates
- A Debug build, or one run out of a DerivedData tree, no longer checks for updates on its own; only the shipped app updates itself.
Omelette v2.7.0 🍳
Hardening: 28 defects found by a full code review, each verified and fixed. No new features; the freeze is lifted.
Last-known numbers
- Never presented as live. The status line says how old a last-known number is (
◐ 95% (as of 14:05)) and drops a reset that has passed;get_usagepaces against live windows only; threshold, pace and reset alerts fire only for providers that are reporting now; the floating panel dims last-known numbers and shows the provider's state chip. - A switched-off provider stays off. Its old numbers no longer come back on every refresh.
- Pay-as-you-go spend survives a failed refresh and a relaunch, dimmed like other last-known numbers, in the menu bar, the tile, the popover and the floating panel.
- Codex keeps its last numbers when it reports no limits, dimmed under "Codex reported no limits".
- The widget never shows sample numbers. Before Omelette has written anything it says "Open Omelette", and it learns when a provider is forgotten.
Costs (API list-price equivalents)
- Turns read before the price table knew their model are priced once it does, for Codex, Grok and Claude; a failed models.dev fetch retries after 15 minutes.
- Local dollar figures say they are API-equivalent everywhere they were bare: the All tab,
omelette status, the status line (≈$),get_sessions, Insights, Activity. - A Codex rollout that shrinks no longer counts the responses it names twice.
Time zones
- "Today" and the day totals follow a time-zone change without a relaunch; Activity squares older than a month stay filled after a relaunch in another zone.
Agents
- Codex MCP setup finds its own table however its header is spelled (a comment, a quoted name, spaces in the brackets), instead of adding a second table that stopped Codex from starting.
- A finished Codex session stays finished; a "working" guessed from the log is undone once the log is quiet. The log scan reads every day folder of the month.
Dashboard
- A slow provider no longer paints over the one you switched to; an open chat's breakdown keeps up with its totals; the History header fits the smallest window and the Tokens table a wide sidebar; chats expand from the keyboard and VoiceOver; provider tabs show keyboard focus.
Settings, history, status file
- Settings → Updates follows Sparkle as it checks. The quota history can no longer be replaced by one record or lose a newer legacy file. A session that ends leaves
status.jsonat once.
Omelette v2.6.5 🍳
Three bug fixes from the issue tracker; the feature freeze continues.
Fixed
- Claude days older than a month count each reply in full. Claude Code logs a reply two to four times, and a reply more than 31 days old was counted from its first, provisional line: a few output tokens instead of the real count, in the Activity days and in the chat's History totals. Closes #10.
- Enterprise spend shows again. With an Admin API key the Anthropic Enterprise row showed "Decoding failed" instead of the week's spend; the cost report's amounts are now read as the API sends them, in cents, and shown in dollars. Closes #11.
- A huge
limitno longer stops the MCP server.get_sessionswith a limit too large for a whole number, or infinity or NaN, crashedomelette mcp; it is now clamped to 1–15, or falls back to 10. Closes #12.
Note
- The first launch after this update re-reads the Claude Code transcripts still on disk once and rebuilds the days and chats they cover. Days and History chats older than those transcripts (30 days by default) keep their previous, lower totals; the Activity tab may take a minute to settle.
Omelette v2.6.4 🍳
A bug fix; the feature freeze continues.
Fixed
- Dashboard text upside down, for good this time. The trigger was never sleep: a closed Dashboard window is only hidden by macOS, kept updating in the background, and on macOS 27.0 any text created while it was hidden came back flipped. The Dashboard now ignores updates while it is off screen and rebuilds itself when it shows again after a poll reached it hidden, which also covers sleep and the lock screen. Expanded chats and scroll positions survive a window that was merely covered for a moment.
Omelette v2.6.3 🍳
A bug fix; the feature freeze continues.
Fixed
- Dashboard text stays upright after a screen lock. On macOS 27.0 the rows the Dashboard adds after the Mac is unlocked (Tokens today, the per-model costs, the burn line) came back upside down; 2.6.2 rebuilt the column too early, while the lock screen was still up. The column is now rebuilt on the first refresh after the Mac is awake and unlocked.
Omelette v2.6.2 🍳
A bug fix; the feature freeze continues.
Fixed
- Dashboard text no longer comes back upside down after sleep. On macOS 27.0 the selectable text in the Dashboard's detail column came back flipped when the Mac woke, and stayed that way until a provider switch redrew it. The dashboard now redraws the column itself once the screens are awake.
Omelette v2.6.1 🍳
Bug fixes from the issue tracker; the feature freeze continues.
Fixed
- Activity reaches back a year. The 30-day, 90-day and one-year cards and the heat map count every day the CLIs' logs still hold, for Claude Code, Codex and Grok. "Last year" could never exceed "Last 90 days" before. Each card counts whole calendar days. Closes #7.
- Clicking an agent that runs inside tmux jumps to its pane. The attached terminal comes forward and the session, window and pane are selected; Terminal and iTerm2 also select the right tab. A detached tmux still opens the project folder. Closes #8.
Added
- Text in the Dashboard and the popover can be selected and copied. Closes #9.
Note
- The first launch after this update re-reads Claude Code's transcripts once to fill in the days the old 90-day window skipped; the Activity tab may take a minute to settle.
- Claude Code deletes local transcripts after 30 days by default. Set
"cleanupPeriodDays": 365in~/.claude/settings.jsonto keep a year; the Activity tab says so under its cards.
