We’re thrilled to present the latest iteration of OopisOS, a passion project architected in close collaboration between A. Edmark and their AI code-wizard partner, Gemini. OopisOS is more than just a simulation; it’s an exploration of a new application paradigm. It is a complete, persistent, and secure Unix-like operating system that is radically self-reliant, running entirely within the confines of your web browser with zero server-side dependencies.

Our design philosophy was built on five foundational pillars: complete client-side self-reliance, architected persistence using browser storage, enforced modularity for stability and extensibility, security-by-design, and a contained, orchestrated execution flow for all system processes. What began as a love letter to the command line has matured into a multi-faceted creative and educational sandbox. It’s a place to learn, a place to build, and a place to play, all within a secure environment that has no access to your local machine. From its multi-user security model and advanced scripting engine to its suite of full-featured graphical applications and a tool-using AI, every component has been crafted to be a part of a cohesive, self-contained whole.
