Pocket OopisOS 4.0
OopisOS v4.0: The Pocket Kernel
Welcome back! We've been busy. Version 4.0 is here, and it’s leaner, meaner, and more self-reliant than ever. Forget the cloud, forget dependencies. This is a single, contained environment you can carry on a thumb drive.
We didn't just add features; we stripped away the cruft. The result is a portable, persistent OS that keeps your world—your files, your settings, your AI—right where it belongs: with you.
Core Features
-
Your AI, Your Rules: The
geminicommand is now a proper gateway. Talk to your own local models via Ollama or use our default for file-system-aware tool use. We've added flags so you can dictate the terms of your AI interactions. -
The AI Librarian (
chidi): Still turning documents into a queryable knowledge base, but now you can pipe input directly to it. Usefindto dynamically create a corpus forchidito analyze on the fly. No more manual copying. -

datasubdirectory. No installation, no browser, no mess on the host machine. -
The Expanded Creative Suite:
-
BASIC IDE: We've resurrected a classic. The
basiccommand launches a full-screen IDE. Write,RUN, andSAVEline-numbered programs that can call system commands withSYS_CMD()and read files withSYS_READ(). -
