This is a maintenance release that finalises the 9.7.0 version. The 9.7.0 release was inadvertently published with a development (-SNAPSHOT) version in its build metadata, so 9.7.1 republishes the same functionality with a correct release version. The release process now also validates the core version before publishing, to prevent this from happening again. There are no functional changes to the library compared with 9.7.0.
