Qompta encrypts everything and shows you a recovery key once. Write it down somewhere other than that computer. It is the only way to reopen your data if the machine dies, and the only way to replace a forgotten login password. Nobody can regenerate it.

Changes since 1.20.5

• Login password: Qompta no longer opens without you. The encryption key only lives on the machine wrapped by your password (Argon2id). Rules: 10 characters at least, with a letter, a digit and a special character.
• Windows Hello (optional, Windows only): face, fingerprint or PIN open Qompta; the password is always accepted too. Linux and macOS: password only.
• Settings → Connexion: change the password (the current one is required), enable or disable Windows Hello. Showing the recovery key now requires the password.
• Forgotten password: only the recovery key can replace it.
• Updating from 1.20: on first launch you choose the password once. Your recovery key does not change; backups and exports open as before.
• French punctuation cleaned up in the interface and the documentation.

Build and release plumbing only; the application itself is unchanged. The Debian package and the AppImage are now archived alongside the Windows installer instead of being discarded, and the GitLab release job publishes all three packages rather than the installer alone.
