DatPlotX is an opinionated plotting application squarely focused on engineering data: time-series strip charts, dense multi-parameter exhibits, and grouped parametric datasets.
A legacy DatPlot Windows application was created in the mid 2000s, primarily to easily create strip charts for use with flight test data. With the progress of agentic coding, the concept of DatPlot was revived and built on C# and Avalonia to provide cross platform support on Windows, Linux and MacOS - DatPlotX.
DatPlot X continues to support CSV and X-Plane flight simulator source data files, and now adds plotting choices of stacked plot surface (strip charts), compact plot surface (frequently used in air accident investigations by the NTSB), and grouped plot surface (useful when some parameters have few/manageable number of values, for example when plotting flight performance data from a digitized Airplane Flight Manual).
