RO3Emu 1.0.0: one-click RO3Emu.exe

Play on your own PC (Windows)

1. Download RO3Emu-win-x64.zip below and extract it anywhere.
2. Double-click RO3Emu.exe. Nothing to install: no .NET, Java or Node.js. If Windows says "Windows protected your PC" (RO3Emu is not signed), click More info, then Run anyway.
3. It finds your Ragnarok 3: Genesis game folder (or asks for the one with ro3.exe), exports the game data it needs (about a minute, only once), starts the server and the game.
4. Log in with any account name and password: the account is created on first login.

Don't have the game? RO3Emu.exe offers to download it from the official Genesis update servers (about 24 GB) and checks every file against the publisher's signature. RO3Emu never hosts game files.

Tested with the Genesis client releases of 7 and 16 October 2026. The patcher finds the client's login and server-list addresses by their path, so a release that only moves to new servers keeps working.

Host on Linux

Extract RO3Emu-server-linux-x64.tar.gz and run ./server.sh --client /path/to/ROO_PC --host <public IP> --gm <account> (or --download <folder> to fetch only the files the server needs). Open TCP 5380, 20000 and 33100.

Problems

If something fails, RO3Emu says what to do and writes RO3Emu-diagnostics.zip. Attach it to an issue.
