Aethelgard Ledger 0.1.1 (evaluation). Clarity fix and a small bug fix. No change to how postings are checked or stored, and existing ledgers open unchanged.

Changed

  • consolidate now says what it does. It returns a combined trial balance: the parent plus its direct subsidiaries, summed by account code. It is not a consolidation. There are no intercompany eliminations, non-controlling interests or goodwill, so intercompany balances appear gross. The tool name is unchanged, so existing agent configurations keep working. Full consolidation is in the Aethelgard desktop app.

  • create_entity now replies with the entity's name (it previously repeated the id).

First evaluation build of Aethelgard Ledger, a double-entry, multi-entity, tamper-evident ledger for AI agents, served over MCP (stdio).

Business use only, under the Aethelgard Ledger Evaluation Licence. The ledger file is not encrypted, and output must not be relied on without independent verification.

Tools

create_entity, create_account, post_transaction (unbalanced journals are rejected), list_entities, list_accounts, list_transactions, trial_balance, consolidate, verify_integrity (returns the latest chain hash so you can record it outside the ledger).
