Brain SDKs 2.0.0
Brain SDKs 2.0.0 add application composition, session-bound providers, and client runtime tools. Implemented in PR #278, following ADR 0003 and plan 11.
Source: 850f90b.
- Compose and run Brain through the public Go application package. The stock CLI uses the same validation and owned-resource lifecycle.
- Bind authorized provider operations and resources to sessions. Private credential overrides use authenticated encryption in SQL and checkpoints, with independent keys, rotation, and revocation.
- Declare runtime functions in the TypeScript and Python SDKs. The SDKs own callback registration, progress, cancellation, and connections; TypeScript supports reverse SSE/HTTP and WebSocket RPC, and Python supports reverse SSE/HTTP. Rebinding never replays actions.
- Use managed functions, HTTP/SSE, MCP HTTP or owned stdio, and optional authorized session reads through the same tool policy.
- Share bounded Pi hosts across sessions, with separate occupancy and active-turn limits, isolated context and cancellation, passive recovery, and owned Linux/Windows process trees.
This is a breaking release without a compatibility or old-state migration layer. Successful output schemas validate structured_content. Rebuild application integrations and use the matching 2.0.0 client packages.
The release publishes the exact SDK archives tested by protected main CI. Verification includes Linux and Windows checks, race detection, PostgreSQL, container smoke tests, CodeQL, and documentation deployment checks. Registry publication verifies public package bytes and installs both SDKs from their registries.
Documentation includes the Go application guide and updated client, tool, credential, and host references. Codex and OpenCode adapters remain qualification work; this release advertises Pi as its supported harness.
Brain SDKs 1.0.0
Tested SDK archives for server commit d93ddf4. Registry publication results are recorded separately in this workflow; release.json identifies the source.
Brain SDKs 1.0.0

Brain SDKs 1.0.0
Brain's current Go session server and SDKs, from verified commit 67afdc3.
Install JavaScript/TypeScript with npm install --save-exact @aexhq/brain@1.0.0. Version 1 replaces the incompatible predecessor 0.x API.
The Python wheel is ready to install without a checkout or build:
python -m pip install https://github.com/aexhq/brain/releases/download/release/sha-67afdc3d6403d101af22d3bce3dd8c6c79cb4557/aex_brain-1.0.0-py3-none-any.whl
PyPI publication is now complete. Install with python -m pip install aex-brain==1.0.0. Release verification passed public artifact comparisons and fresh installs from both npm and PyPI after trusted-publisher setup.
Both container images are published as sha-67afdc3d6403d101af22d3bce3dd8c6c79cb4557 and were pulled and smoke-tested. The main CI passed Linux/Windows, race, PostgreSQL, CodeQL, all journeys, container smoke tests, and docs verification. Attached packages are the exact Linux CI artifacts; release.json records their source. Documentation: https://aexhq.github.io/brain/docs/
Brain SDKs 1.0.0

Brain @aexhq/brain@0.40.0
Brain now runs the real Pi, Codex, or OpenCode agent behind a harness selected at server startup. Upstream agents own compaction and native session state; Brain retains its model/tool adapters and durable journal barriers.
- Select
brain-harness-pi,brain-harness-codex, orbrain-harness-opencodewithBRAIN_HARNESS, for example{"command":"brain-harness-pi"}. The published image includes all three adapters. - Custom implementations use the language-neutral
brain/harness/v1JSON-RPC protocol over stdio. The SDK provides a TypeScript authoring API. - Session clients configure the selected harness and admitted tools; they cannot upload or choose executable agent loops.
This is a breaking prelaunch release. Start with a new data directory: the previous Agentloop API and storage layout are unsupported. Back up native harness state together with the journal. An interrupted or failed native activation requires a new session; uncertain effects are never replayed automatically. Codex and OpenCode currently accept text only and reject imported transcripts.

Full CI, native upstream adapter conformance, real provider media gates, staged SDK/image integration, and both image security scans passed. The attached manifests identify the exact packages and image tested together.
Companion extensions are also released to latest: Pi and Codex 10.0.0, the eight standard Tool packages 8.1.9, env 0.1.9, env-http 0.3.5, env-local 0.6.9, and env-browser, env-modal, and tools-mcp 0.5.9. All 16 packages depend on Brain 0.40.0. Their immutable source is aexhq/extensions@f013982, and the attached extensions-manifest.json records their verified archive identities.
