PilotSwarm v0.5.58
Highlights
- Opt-in live reasoning and answer previews (
PILOTSWARM_LIVE_TURN=1on workers), carried by a bounded, ephemeral CMS live plane rather than the durable transcript. - Smoother chat presentation: paced updates, delayed reveal for fast responses, persistent expandable reasoning, stable DOM identity, and a decoration-only completion fade. Unchanged transcript items reuse cached rendering.
- Hardened stream lifecycle and recovery: durable final answers win over stale previews, stream-scoped idle cleanup, reconnect resynchronization, monotonic subscriptions, bounded slow-consumer queues, and authorized live-topic reads.
- Named-agent startup tool enforcement, chromeless shared canvases, corrected modal/divider layering, and clearer shared-session ownership from the changes since v0.5.57.
- Updated API, architecture, UI implementation, deployment, and builder guidance. CLI installation uses all three GitHub release tarballs.
Compatibility
Live previews are disabled by default. Durable responses continue to work when the live plane is unavailable. CMS migrations 0073/0074 add ephemeral live state and stored-procedure access; normal migrations apply them. Direct native SDK transport remains durable-only; the portal/Web API path supports live previews.
Verification
npm run buildpassed.- Full
./scripts/run-tests.sh --all-providerspassed cleanly on the release candidate: PgFactStore SDK 1,568 passed / 14 conditional skips; HorizonDB SDK 1,581 passed / 1 conditional skip; zero failures in either phase. - HorizonDB store integration: 149 passed. Both provider phases also passed their deployment-script, SDK unit, TUI, portal, shared-UI, and MCP checks.
- Browser end-to-end suite: 107 passed, including desktop/WebKit-mobile coverage and streaming DOM continuity, table/code layout stability, and transcript performance checks.
- Wire-client API tests: 38 passed. Additional focused streaming tests passed against both providers; real relay tests passed.
- All three
npm pack --dry-runoutputs were checked for version, README, API, runtime, and built-in plugin contents.
The baseline's extra skips are HorizonDB-only cases. The one common skip is the existing opt-in live dehydrate test. No new test exclusions or sequential-flake exemption were used for the final full pass. Stale live-protocol expectations and an expected-rejection observation race in the group-deletion test were fixed without weakening their assertions.
Release artifacts
All three npm packages are versioned together at 0.5.58: pilotswarm-sdk, pilotswarm-horizon-store, and pilotswarm.
Publication also builds the multi-architecture affandar/pilotswarm-starter image with v0.5.58, 0.5.58, and latest tags. This release does not itself roll out an AKS deployment.
