Satellites now load right away.

When you open the satellite map, all satellites appear at once, even if the orbit download is slow or fails. The skin keeps the orbits it already has, and every release comes with a fresh set, so the map is never empty.

Orbit updates are also lighter: a few small downloads, at most once every two hours. The line at the bottom of the SAT window shows how old the orbits are.

NOAA 15 and NOAA 19 have been removed from the list, as they were switched off in 2025.

How to update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the ones from the zip, then open the page and click the green version number in the corner of the panel. You can also run update-rig-skin.sh.

Wide decode tables scroll sideways on phones.

On a phone in portrait, some decode tables are wider than the screen,
and their last columns were cut off. ADS-B is the usual one: Speed and
Signal fell off the right edge. Now these tables (ADS-B, ACARS, packet
and the others) scroll left and right inside their panel, header and
rows together. Swipe the table sideways to see the rest. The rig above
stays where it is.

Requested in issue #18, thanks konstkarapan.

Computers and tablets are not affected.

ones from the zip, open the page and click the green version print in
the panel's corner, or run update-rig-skin.sh.

Fix: mode panels on phones (issue #18, thanks konstkarapan).

In 0.10.15 the information panels of the digital and data modes
(digital modes, decodes, timeslots, ADS-B, ACARS and the others) opened
on top of the rig on a phone, right over the mode buttons that switch
them off.

Now they sit inside the rig, under its controls, at full width: scroll
down the rig to read them, scroll up to tune. Chat and Status still
open on top of the rig from their buttons. When you leave the Rig
theme, every panel goes back to OpenWebRX+'s own place.

On a narrow phone the top bar buttons keep their width and the bar
scrolls sideways, instead of squeezing the labels together.

Computers and tablets are not affected.

Update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the
ones from the zip, open the page and click the green version print in
the panel's corner, or run update-rig-skin.sh.

Fix: Chat and Status on phones (issue #17, thanks konstkarapan).

The phone layout in 0.10.14 hid the log and status panels for good, so
the Chat and Status buttons did nothing, and the three rig buttons
pushed Help and Status off the left edge of the top bar.

Now both panels start closed on a phone, so the rig has the screen,
and open on top of the rig from their buttons. The top bar scrolls
sideways from Help, so every button can be reached. Computers and
tablets are not affected.

Update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the
ones from the zip, open the page and click the green version print in
the panel's corner, or run update-rig-skin.sh.

A proper phone layout.

On a phone the rig used to shrink into two tiny columns. Now it docks
across the bottom of the screen at full size, edge to edge, with a thin
strip of waterfall on top, and scrolls for the modes and controls. The
keys are big enough for a thumb.

Drag the grip bar on the rig's top edge to set how much waterfall you
see: down for more waterfall, up for more rig. The phone remembers it,
and a double tap on the bar goes back to the thin strip. The message
log and the status bars step aside on a phone, and the page behind the
rig is plain dark.

Computers and tablets are not affected; the layout there is exactly
as in 0.10.13.

Updating without a hard refresh.

The server keeps the plugin file cached for an hour, so a plain reload
right after an update kept running the old build, and only a hard
refresh helped. From this version on the skin checks its own file on
every page load, past that cache. When a newer build is on the server
the version print in the panel's corner turns green and says it is
ready; click it and the page reloads on the new build. Nothing reloads
on its own.

This one last time, after copying the files, do a hard refresh
(Ctrl+Shift+R): the version you are replacing does not have the check
yet.

Update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the
ones from the zip and reload, or run update-rig-skin.sh.

Fix for the DX callsigns on the bookmark ribbon.

The callsign chips above the waterfall follow zoom, pan and band
changes again. They were only redrawn every ten seconds, so after a
profile change the old band's callsigns stayed for a while, and on zoom
the chips stood still while the bookmarks moved. Recent OpenWebRX+
creates its bookmark bar after the plugins start, and the skin's hook
on it never took hold; it now hooks the class, which is always there.

Update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the
ones from the zip and reload, or run update-rig-skin.sh.

Satellite orbits: a reload chip, and no more half-day stale lists.

celestrak throttles repeat downloads, and an incomplete download used
to be kept for 12 hours, which could leave three birds on the SAT map
for half a day. Now an incomplete download is kept for 30 minutes
only, and the SAT window has a reload chip (the arrow next to HAM and
WX) that downloads the orbits again; it turns while it works.

The map also says what is going on in its middle: loading, download
failed, or HAM and WX both switched off.

Update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the
ones from the zip and reload, or run update-rig-skin.sh.

Priority watch, watch parking, and windows that resize from any edge.

With the squelch on and the dial on silence, a watch window that hears
something now takes the audio by itself, like a priority channel on a
rig. Three seconds after it goes quiet the receiver returns to where
you were. Several active watches: the one heard last wins. Turn the
dial and it lets go. With the squelch off nothing happens on its own.

Right-click WATCH parks all the watch windows out of sight and keeps
them; the next click brings them back.

The DX and satellite windows resize from any edge or corner, so a
window that opened too big is easy to shrink. The needle's peak hold
is slower, 2.5 seconds and a gentle fall.

Two fixes: dragging a window across the waterfall no longer stops
after the first step, and the live DX spots on the bookmark ribbon
start with the rig face again (since 0.10.7 they waited for the DX
window to be opened once).

Update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the
ones from the zip and reload, or run update-rig-skin.sh.

Follows the latest change in the new OpenWebRX+ plugin windows.

On the coming OpenWebRX+ release, the DX cluster, the satellite map and
the watch windows open in OpenWebRX+ windows. On older OpenWebRX+
versions nothing changes. If you installed 0.10.8, update to this one.

Update: replace the three files in plugins/receiver/rig_skin/ with the
ones from the zip and reload, or run update-rig-skin.sh.
