PinboardShot 0.5.7 (build 29) is the first public distribution signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. This release does not change capture, pinning, or annotation behavior.

What's new

  • The app and its nested Sparkle components are signed with Developer ID Application, with Hardened Runtime and secure timestamps enabled.
  • The app, Sparkle update ZIP, and manual-install DMG have passed Apple notarization; notarization tickets are stapled to and validated for both the app and DMG.
  • A DMG is now available for manual installation, while the ZIP and appcast remain available for Sparkle updates.

Compatibility and installation

  • Requires macOS 14 or later and includes both Apple Silicon and Intel architectures.
  • New users can download the DMG, open it, and drag PinboardShot into Applications.
  • Existing users can continue to use the in-app updater.

Known limitation

  • After upgrading from an earlier ad-hoc preview build, macOS may require Screen & System Audio Recording permission to be granted once again.
