First tagged release of alab pages, a scratch web host for tiny HTML/CSS/JS apps. One command publishes a folder to a stable public URL on Cloudflare Pages.

alab pages put .
# ✓ Stored 3 files (147 KB) as f2k9aq
# ✓ Deployed 1 page(s) to agentlab-pages
# URL: https://pages.agentlab.in/f2k9aq/

Commands

  • alab pages put [dir] publish or update a directory, id stays stable via .alab/pages.json
  • alab pages ls list published pages
  • alab pages open [id] open a page in the browser
  • alab pages delete [id] remove a page and redeploy
  • alab pages info show paths, project, deploy branch, and credential status

Included in this release

Deploys are now pinned to the project's production branch. wrangler pages deploy infers the target branch from the cwd's git repo, so running put inside a feature branch or an agent worktree produced a preview deployment that never reached the custom domain. Because Cloudflare Pages serves the root index.html as the fallback for unknown paths rather than a 404, the miss looked like a successful deploy of the wrong page. The branch resolves from ALAB_PAGES_BRANCH, then pagesBranch in ~/.alab/config.json, then main.

Notes

  • Every page under /<id>/ is public. Only the root directory listing can be password gated, via optional client side AES. Do not put secrets in published HTML.
  • Limits: 5 MB and 200 files per page. Each put redeploys the full project snapshot.
