Highlights
Hosted mode can now negotiate and run Cloud-advertised core commands for validation, diagnostics, adapter and profile lifecycle management, and plugin catalog listings. Commands appear in help and completion only when supported by the authenticated Cloud manifest.
Improvements
Registered external CLIs such as gh, docker, and user-defined passthrough commands now run in hosted mode. Hosted site commands take precedence when names overlap, arguments such as --version are forwarded correctly, and child exit codes are preserved.
Hosted help and shell completion now include the locally handled skills and update commands.
Root-level options such as --profile, --workspace, and --session now route correctly when placed before skills or update.
webcmd profile use now saves a validated hosted profile preference locally.
Hosted auth commands now use the same grammar, flags, choices, and help as local auth commands.
Hosted command listings retain unavailable commands as LOCAL entries and return local-only guidance instead of suggesting plugin installation.
Added public package exports for platform-neutral adapter analysis and the hosted-core-commands-v1 capability contract.
Fixes
webcmd doctor now exits with code 78 (CONFIG_ERROR) when the daemon, runtime connection, or a performed connectivity check fails. Its stdout report remains unchanged, and soft warnings do not cause failure.
Failed webcmd external install operations now return a nonzero service-unavailable exit code.
External CLI executable paths containing directory separators are now checked directly instead of using a PATH lookup.
Adapters
Hosted mode now supports Cloud-advertised adapter validation, verification, convention auditing, status, and reset workflows.
Adapter analysis can now validate trusted hosted command inventories and audit adapter source conventions without local registry discovery.
Convention auditing now prevents manifest source paths from escaping the project root and avoids treating unrelated object literals as emitted adapter rows.
