v3.2.117 — Documentation, screenshots and the walkthrough video
Documentation only. No application code changed since 3.2.116 — if you are running 3.2.116 there is
nothing here to update for.
The walkthrough video is published
A three and a half minute tour of the dashboard, endpoint health, recovering a file, schedules and
retention, and offsite replication, in both themes, recorded against a demo environment with fabricated
data. It is attached to v3.2.116 as
st0r-walkthrough.mp4 (3:26, 6.6 MB), alongside a 45-second highlight clip and WebVTT captions.
The links download the file rather than playing it. GitHub strips <video> tags from Markdown and
serves release assets with Content-Disposition: attachment, so a README cannot host a player for them.
Rather than leave a poster that implies otherwise, the poster now carries a download arrow and the label
MP4 download · 03:26 · 6.6 MB, and the README says so in words. A
transcript reads in
the browser for anyone who would rather not download 6.6 MB.
Screenshots
A gallery of 26 screens in both themes,
grouped by what you would be doing — overview, monitoring, everyday workflows, configuration,
administration — each with descriptive alt text and linked to full resolution. Seven of them appear in the
README, and the gallery is linked from the header nav.
The tooling that produces them is in
scripts/demo/: a separate demo
database, a fabricated UrBackup SQLite database and a mock UrBackup API, so no production data or real
endpoint can appear in a capture.
Documentation
- Every table in the docs has a header row; three rendered a blank band above their rows.
- Every link, anchor, image and cross-reference across all twelve Markdown files was checked against the
pages GitHub actually renders — no broken targets remain. - The repository's About URL now points at a page that resolves.
Upgrading: nothing to do. The only file that changes behaviour is version.json, which will report
3.2.117.
