Stillpoint 0.1.2 keeps you inside the app when a block closes, blocks websites in more browsers, and fixes a few focus and lock gaps.

Install

Download Stillpoint-v0.1.2.apk and open it on Android 9 or later. Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser or file manager.
This build uses the same signing certificate as 0.1.0 and 0.1.1. You can install it over either release.

What's in it

  • Websites: blocks now work in Brave, Brave Beta, Firefox, and other browsers that open web links, as well as Chrome. "Back to the browser" opens a blank page in the same tab instead of sending you to the home screen.
  • Short videos: "Back to the app" returns to the page that opened the video, such as your YouTube search results. On the Shorts tab or from a link, it opens another tab. YouTube no longer restarts.
  • First video: the first-video option needs a readable title. Snapchat Spotlight and Facebook Reels are now always blocked when their switch is on.
  • Focus: Home shows "Return to focus" while a session runs or is paused, so you cannot start a second one. A stopwatch notification has "Finish", which counts as a completed session.
  • Strict mode: block pages that were open when a block started now lock too. A pause no longer opens apps that a protected schedule blocks.
  • Security: other apps can no longer start a planned focus session.
  • Onboarding: slides use light haptics instead of sounds and follow the system touch feedback setting.
  • Look: clearer plus and minus buttons. Pebble's thought dots point at the speech bubble beside it.

Known limits

  • Blocking needs usage access and accessibility permissions.
  • Strict mode cannot prevent force-stop, safe mode, or every uninstall method.
  • Checked on emulators: YouTube 20.10.41, Chrome, Brave 1.96.61, Brave Beta 1.98.48, and Firefox 153 on Android 16, and Chrome 69 on Android 9. Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and other browsers were not tested.
  • Debug and release builds use different signing keys. Save a backup before you change from one to the other.
