v1.0.1: full session report in the terminal, short summary to Claude

Guardrails is a free Claude Code plugin: PreToolUse hooks that deny destructive commands and secrets edits before they run, a session start report (OK, WARN or SKIPPED for every instruction file, rule, skill, hook and plugin), and skills to lint CLAUDE.md, rerun the report and dry run any command.

What changed in 1.0.1

• The full session report now prints in your terminal at session start, where you can read it.
• Claude receives only a short summary (counts plus up to four warnings), which keeps the per session token cost small.
• README: new "Cost" section explaining what the plugin adds to each session.

Install

Inside Claude Code:

Requires Python 3. No other dependencies. MIT licensed.

Limits

Not a sandbox. A hook sees the command string, not what a script does inside. It does not replace backups or branch protection.
